Re: Cpmpaq Presario V2000 laptop Function key problem
Yes, the Fn key is a feature found only on laptop keyboards where the
motherboard BIOS is capable of interpreting it. There may be equivalent chords on an external keyboard for Fn key combinations, but I do not know what they are... I'm a bit late getting back on this. Had to rebuild the system in the
meantime. I deleted some critical xp files due to my ignorance. Not worth replacing the keyboard. The external idea is a very good one, but all of the regular keyboards I've looked at don't have the Function key near the control key. I mean, they don't have one at all.
