De-Branded Computer Identity

I just ordered a so-called "de-branded" HP computer from Computer
Geeks.com. I assume it has all the HP logos, etc. removed. Would it
still have the ID in the bios so a program like Belarc Advisor could
report it? Geeks show a part number of TS-0001A-P4161-R, but I assume
that's one of theirs. I would like to find out what it is so I can
locate documentation, drivers, etc.

Re: De-Branded Computer Identity

It has taken 4 days for this message to show up. After I received the
HP, I found out that Belarc gives you all the information you need.
Getting it going was fun as HP only has drivers for Vista for that
computer. I was able to find others for XP that worked fine.

Re: De-Branded Computer Identity

Hey I bought the same thing, It did not want to format the hdd (besides a quick format), It took a few times to get xp to install. It's froze up on me a couple a times. Can't get any sound at all. Where did you find the drivers? Any advice? I'm up over my head.

thanks.
