trouble loading certain websites

I am getting very irritated. I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 running Vista
Business. A few days ago certain websites that I had been using since
college started in August stopped working (facebook.com, aol.com and some
others). But all of my other websites work fine. I was using Internet
Explorer 7 and then I tried downloading Firefox and the websites still don't
work. Can anybody help me?
