AutoComplete Passwords

On the panel "AutoComplete Passwords" where it asks "Do you want Internet
Explorer to remember this password?", there is a check box called "Don't
offer to remember any more passwords".

What happens if I select "Don't offer to remember any more passwords"?

Certainly it will do what it says and not offer to remember them which to
mean means it won't ever ask the question again. But that doesn't tell me
what the default action will now be.

Will it:

a) remember passwords automatically (without asking the question again)?
b) never remember any more passwords?

I would like option (a) above. I want it to always remember passwords (just
like AutoComplete field always remembers my user name). IE asked me that
question once and it defaulted to remembering all the name fields from that
point on. But the password is a bit more ambiguous.

Re: AutoComplete Passwords

Hi,
You can't configure IE to achieve option "a." It would be unacceptable
(securitywise) for passwords on a public computer or a shared/generic user
account to be saved without the approval of the current user.

Hope this helps,
