I will admit that my normal web access is through Mozilla Firefox but I do
use I.E. on a number of occasions. My problem is that, when I put in a
search, or type in a URL in to the address bar on I.E., it opens up and/or
goes to the page in Firefox. I can't get off my home page in I.E.

I have tried only opening I.E., and/or closing Firefox but it still does the
same thing. Can anyone suggest how I can fix it so I can use I.E. too. You

Do you have IE or Firefox set as the default brouser?

I have FireFox as the default but it didn't use to do this, and it doesn't do
it all the time.

I am having the same problem. I can't open anything in IE - it opens firefox
when I type in the address bar. Just wanted to post here so I can watch for
answers.

I have IE 7 and Windows XP with service pack2. Everything is updated to the
latest version.

Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults
Make sure IE is the default browser.
