IE 7 won't load Excite.com

I can't get to my Excite email because Internet Explorer 7, running under
Vista Home Premium and XP (on my laptop) won't load the web page. It won't
even click the link to anything with "excite" in the URL. Any ideas? All
other pages load with no problems.

Why is Excite the only domain I cannot access? I can surf to any other URL
on the web, but not to Excite. And under both XP and Vista. Is this issue
exclusive to IE 7 only?

Check C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc for a file named HOSTS with no
extension. (Not Hosts.sam)
Make sure Windows is set to show hidden files and folders and is NOT set to
hide extensions for known file types.
If HOSTS exists, rename it to HOSTS.OLD
Reboot an try again.

Or, In a Cmd window, enter
ipconfig /flushdns
then clear your TIF also, and re-boot.
