IE 7 and ActiveX issue
I had to rebuild a computer system for a user and now when I test everything
out to make sure everything is working for the user, I am getting this error message when I try to open up a report in the Crystal Report Viewer. "The Cyrstal ActiveX Viewer is unable to create it's resource object" along with the yellow bar up at the top of the report screen that says "This website wants to run the following add-on "Crystal Web Reports broker" from the "Seagate software". if you trust the website and the add-on and want to run, click here..." i can not click there because of the popup that says "the Crystal ActiveX View....." it keeps on poping up everytime i click OK. I am logged in as the Administrator on the computer. I can go on my computer and i have not problem. i just rebuilt the computer again and this time all i installed was XP SP2 and Office 2003, updated the system with all the MS updates and i still get the error messages. I also went into Manage Add-ons and saw that the crystal report viewer dll is in the section of downloaded ActiveX Controls and in the Add-on that have been used by Internet Explorer. In both sections Crystal Report Viewer is ENABLED. so i am realy confused here. i unistalled IE7 and used IE6 and I was able to access the report. I did get the message about the add-on and i installed it. i than reinstalled IE7 and I recieved the error messages that i descibe above. For the time being i will have the user just use IE6. does any one have any clue on how i can fix this problem? Thanks in advance! -- Thank you, Advertisement |
