Problem with IE8 and Hotmail: AI RoboForm assertion failed

When I login at Hotmail I get about thirty popups that says "AI RoboForm
assertion failed" and the I have to end the iexplore-process in the Task
Manager this started after installing IE8. Same thing happens at alot of
other sites to, which for me makes it impossible to use IE8.

Any suggestions?

Did you read what the IE8 Release Notes said about Windows Live Hotmail?

The above seems to imply that IE6 was installed, not IE8. Furthermore:

=> Older versions of Roboform Toolbar caused similar problems in IE7.

=> Is Roboform Toolbar supported in WinXP SP3?

=> Does this behavior persist in IE7 after uninstalling WinXP SP3?

Hello PA Bear, Nope I hadn't, now I have, thanks for pointing this out.

Anyway after disabling and enabling add-ons I found the one that was
causing the "AI RoboForm assertion failed"-error much to my surprise it
was an Add-on for Controlled Payment Numbers from Orbiscom. After
disabling it the RoboForm error disappeared.

About the version number, the about box in IE says Version:
8.0.6001.17184 I have no idea why the add-on reports 6.0.2900.
