Cannot change home page

I discovered I cannot change my home page in Internet Explorer.
Each time I try this, the original home page comes back.
Have you a solution.

Thanks
Claude

What anti-malware or security software do you have installed? Maybe
you configured it to lock your home page.

Re: Cannot change home page

One or more options/settings in an ever-growing number of third-party
applications may be disallowing the change(s) from "sticking". These include
but are not limited to Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer,
SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor, Norton AntiVirus, McAfee
VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free, Pro, & Security Suite).

Or you may have a hijackware infection.

How to disable Ad-Aware AdWatch: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=6077

If AdWatch isn't the culprit, uninstall ZA free & enable the Windows
Firewall, then test.

Re: Cannot change home page

Many thanks,

Ad-Watch was the culprit, I changed the "automatic" flag and now it works.

Re: Cannot change home page

See if disabling Bsafe resolves the problem. I suspect a McAfee VirusScan
setting is the responsible party, Tague.

[Are you certain Bsafe Online (http://www.bsafehome.com/) is part of the
McAfee application? It would appear that the opposite is the case (i.e.,
McAfee VirusScan was included with your purchase of Bsafe All-in-One
Security Suite; http://www.bsafehome.com/Products/Products.aspx).]
