Auto Complete & Auto Search

The auto complete option never has worked for me since IE 5.0. Except
Passwords I have all the other check boxes checked and when I submit forms it
does not remember the values for every text bo like Mozilla.

Also another cool feature IE can/should provide is the auto search
capability on the webpage. Instead of CTLF + F and then search for text,
Mozilla has a feature where you can just start typing any search text and it
will automatically scroll to that text if found on the webpage.

Re: Auto Complete & Auto Search

Hi Uttam,

You will find that there are addons for these features in IE.

Tools>Manage Addons.... click on the 'Download new add-ons for Internet
Explorer' link at the bottom of the dialog.

It is strange that your autofill does not work, but at a pinch there is a
freeware version of RoboForm that is quite good.

You will find a free inline search explorer bar that is a substitute for the
Mozilla inline search for IE at the IE7 Addons marketplace website.

Regards

Re: Auto Complete & Auto Search

Click on Tools... Internet Options.... Advanced tab and make sure you have a
checkmark in the box before "use inline autocomplete"

Never worked for me and did all the changes that you listed: i.e.,
tools/internet options/advanced, etc.
