| Guest Posts: n/a | Re: Some pics small pics don't show I tried that but no x placeholder present on that link. I tried it on gamespot and this was the result. (pic link: http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/7...picturemu3.png) I wasn't sure that link would lead me to a sepreate page but I tried it and I didn't encounter a 404 error page. I didn't encounter any working pics either. I didn't encounter any working pics either. Sometimes you can't use the right-click, Properties trick. E.g. that may only get you to the HTML or a shortcut for a link. So then you would have to use right-click, View Source and find (or construct) a URL for the Red-X from it. Even then there is no guarantee that the server will show you the image without a Referer header, so you might be forced to resort to using a trace to see that you still get HTTP 404 for the URL associated with Red-X even under that condition. BTW the resolution on your .png file is so low that I wasn't able to read (or even guess at) any of the URLs you were using for your second example, so I can't help further with it specifically. So then you would have to use right-click, View Source and find (or construct) a URL for the Red-X from it. Even then there is no guarantee that the server will show you the image without a Referer header, so you might be forced to resort to using a trace to see that you still get HTTP 404 for the URL associated with Red-X even under that condition. BTW the resolution on your .png file is so low that I wasn't able to read (or even guess at) any of the URLs you were using for your second example, so I can't help further with it specifically. It probably means that that site doesn't have a default HTML file to show when the user doesn't specify one. E.g. usually index.html or default.html would be redirected to when just the root is given. If access to the root was allowed you might be allowed to see a directory of all the files and directories there.
