IE setup is legal but for another computer....

Hi, I downloaded IE7 for installation on my 2 PCs:
On 2nd PC I first used a copy from downloaded file and then got this message.

Then I downloaded again with 2nd PC after verifying legal Windows - but this
message does not dissappear:

What is necessary to install ie7 on my 2nd PC now?

Re: IE setup is legal but for another computer....

Hi - I am using windows xp 64 bit and the message dissapears before starting
the setup when all files are decompressed: this is translated from German....
"the computertypes do not accord"
"The file d:\ 23445...\iesetup.exe is legal but it is determined for another
pc-type"

Are both machines running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition?

Did you download IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe or
IE7-WindowsServer2003-x64-enu.exe to install IE7?

Re: IE setup is legal but for another computer....

On an English-language version of WinXP x64, you must use
IE7-WindowsServer2003-x64-enu.exe to install IE7:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

You can then have IE7 *display* in German using Regional and Language
Support for User Accounts -
