Macromedia Flash Player 8

Using WinXP Pro w/all updates and Internet Explorer 7. Some IE pages
indicate I can view movie trailers if I install Macromedia Flash Player 8.
So I download Macromedia Flash Player 8 and install but it will not do
anything.
Restarting IE7 + WinXP Pro just gets me back to where I started, nowhere.
Anyone, please help.
TIA

Re: Macromedia Flash Player 8

When I run the Flash Installer after removing the previous version, I get a
certificate error message saying Adobe has been blocked from running
software and has had it's certificate revoked and the install will not run.
Any easy work-around?
