Printing Error in IE7

For some reason, every time I try to print in IE7, I get an error message,
"An error occurred during this operation." This problem just started on
Saturday. The last time I tried to print was on Thursday and it worked fine.
Between those days I didn't install any new software, that I was aware of.

I am running the latest updated version of XP. I am not having printing
issues with any other programs. The last update to XP was about a week ago,
and things worked fine after that update.

It was like one day it worked and the next day I am getting this error
message. I have reinstalled IE7 and also cleared out my temp files, but still
having the error message.

Any ideas? Thanks.

RE: Printing Error in IE7

Hi

This problem could occur because of the Scripting error on the computer
Please try to create a new user account and try to check out whether the
same issue persists with that new user account

If it happens the same with the new user account
then You need to Follow the steps given below

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Download this subinacl.exe and try to install this
Once this is installed. Please http://janakchettri.googlepages.com/reset.bat
click on this link. This is the registry which will make the subinacl tool to
be excuted on the registry.

Please run this. It might take 15 to 20 minutes to be completed
once this is completed restart the computer and we need to install the
Windows Script Engine 5.6 software

That can be downloaded from the following link

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

Once this you run this tool. This will fix all the script error problems.

Restart the computer and check whether you have the same issue while trying
to printing.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Thanks,
Anish

RE: Printing Error in IE7

Anish,

I appreciate your help.

I did create another user and had the same issue.

I then followed your instructions and in the end the problem was still there.

I am not sure this was a script error simply because the message that came
up wasn't a "script error" message.

So, any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Scott

RE: Printing Error in IE7

No error code. Just a message window that pops up. In the heading is the text
that is in the tab I am on and the message is just simply "An error occured
during this operation." and a radio button that says "OK" for me to click on.

I did a screen capture that I can send you if that would help. Nothing that
says script error or anything like that (I have seen script error messages
before and this is not one of them).

Very strange, right?

Thanks,
Scott
