Wrong website coming up when different web address typed

First, I have WinXP Pro Version 2002 Service Pack 2, IE7, laptop with a
wireless home network with cable internet. If you need any additional info,
please let me know.

For the past two days, every time I try to access http://www.ebay.com or
http://www.bankofamerica.com I get some website for Solversa Technologies
with a member login page. I am NOT redirected to this site. I type in my
intended web address and instead this other one comes up. I've tried to
clear all my history (temp files, cookies, history, form data, passwords) but
still the same thing. I've also tried searching for this company and get a
different website all together.

Is this a bug? Can anyone please, please, please help me????

Thanks!!!!

When you do "nslookup www.ebay.com", do you get the following IP
addresses returned:

66.135.194.100
66.135.214.176

For www.solversa.com, their IP address is:

202.71.129.132

What happens when you use the IP address for eBay instead of their IP
name, as in:

http://66.135.194.100/

eBay doesn't have a home page. They use scripts to move you around
and those scripts use IP names and relative paths. So just see if you
get to eBay, not if you can get to their home page (you'll probably
get a page saying you went to the wrong page but it is an eBay page
nonetheless).

Could be the DNS server to which you connect is screwed up and returns
the wrong IP address for the IP name. Could be you are infected and
malware takes you to a different site.

Have you checked your hosts file?
