Firefox cannot find Internet connection after getting back from sleep in Vista

Hi!
It looks like the network adapter chip on ASUS P5B Delux motherboard is causing the following problem.

When goes to sleep with Firefox opened, then coming back, Firefox cannot find the Internet connection while IE and other applications cab access the Internet.

I found some reports on the same problem and I updated the driver for Marvell Yukon 88E8001 and 88E8056 to 10.51.1.3 built by WinDDK.
But still it does not work.

Any advise ?

make sure that your Vista is updated with all the latest released patches.

also, if you close and reopen Firefox (in Firefox : File -> Exit) , can it access the net, after resuming from sleep ??

Bakuryu, Thanks for your comment.
I did not realize that there are several Vista updates related to this problem.
I will install them and report the result here.

Firefox runs ok after closed and rerun after wakeup.

those updates are related to Sleep problems in Vista. install the updates and see if the problem is resolved.

also which version of Firefox are you using ?

Firefox is 2.0.0.12.

it might be an issue with firefox itself. First install those updates and see if the issue persists.

You can try with a beta release of Firefox 3 and see if the loss of connectivity is still present.

or more simple, in firefox, Tools -> Options -> main tab, under When Firefox starts, select "Show my windows and tabs from last time".

then just close firefox before sleeping and reopen firefox after awakening, and you will get all previous tabs and windows opened.

plus the update for today.

The same phenomena.
Firefox cannot find Internet connection after coming back from Vista sleep.

did u try with the beta version of Firefox 3 ??

did the issue happen recently or it was there from the beginning ?

I will try Firefox 3 now.

This has been around from the beginning when I installed Vista on ASUS P5B.

With diffrent motherboard this does not happen.

it might be an issue with your motherboard network drivers also.

well if Firefox 3 also does not work, yo can do what i said earlier, chnage settings to open tabs and windows from last time, then close firefox before putting the system to sleep.
