If your Firewall/security software shows message, then most probably is has blocked an attack.

Note that this should not come as a popup in Internet explorer and you are lured into clicking and installing some rouge security software that claims it helps you to protect from these threats.

Since your antivirus blocked the attack no worries. It's just somebody/an infected zombie computer trying to find if there is an RPC DCOM Exploit in your computer. Just keep windows and your antivirus upto date.

Btw. this is the attack computer:

You can close port 135 and then you will be un affected by these type of attacks. You can use your firewall to deny all communications on port 135.

Or you can run Windows Worms Doors Cleaner and close the 5 ports, including the DCOM.

Download and install ZoneAlarm Free. It should do the job:

Download ZoneAlarm Free 8.0.065.0 - FileHippo.com
