If Norton Removal Tool didn't work you can run the tool in safe mode. Then it will give a perfect uninstallation.

Re: Cant Connect to Internet

To get into Safe mode in Windows , as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu". Select the safe mode and press enter.

After running Norton Removal Tool it will reboot your computer and come back to normal mode.

Re: Cant Connect to Internet

Are you using Windows Wireless Zero utility for viewing and connecting the wireless network or the adapter (wireless viewer installed with adapter driver) utility?

If you are using that 3rd party utility(adapter) please change to Windows Wireless Zero configuration and check for the issue.

Re: Cant Connect to Internet

Ok good news I took the computer to Staples they were able to fix the laptop issue of connecting. So now I can connect wirelessly. I went to Best Buy and bought a new Linksys N broadband wireless router. I got all the computers to conect at once wirelessly down stairs when I finished the setup. Now I cant connect to my new gaming pc I just bought. I went out and bought a usb N dual band adapter when I bought the router. It worked down stairs until I unplugged everthing and brought everything back upstairs. On my new gaming pc its showing its connected but cant connect to the internet. It worked just fine down stairs!!!! What the heck! Im getting so frustrated. I went out and spent more money and it still didnt get fixed? What can I do? The new gaming pc is Vista 64.

Im wondering whats going on with connecting to more then one computer? my cable modem seems to work fine as well as the new linksys adapter. But now when I moved things upstairs I cant connect to the new Vista PC

Could you please give us the exact error code? I think the network adapter supports wireless g and b only. If then you need to upgrade that to wireless N standards.

Re: Cant Connect to Internet

For your Gaming computer:

Follow the steps provided below.

1. Try to ping the router (Wireless N) IP address.

2. Try to ping the cable modem

3. Try to ping the global dns address 4.2.2.2 or your ISP provided dns number

4. Try to ping google.com

Please tell where you are facing problem during the steps with error message.

PS:
To find the IP address of a device ,connect that device to your computer. On command prompt type ipconfig and press enter and take the gateway address.

Re: Cant Connect to Internet

The exact message of what I get when I install the wireless usb g adapter is "please deselect Microsoft XP Wireless Network Configuration Utility".

I bet its because they incompatible with each other g and n. G being the adapter and N being the wireless router
