How to improve the download speed in Utorrent any Tips and Tricks ?

i am using utorrent to download movies and softwares on my friend suggestion, but i am facing on problem.
the downloading speed in U-torrent is very low whereas upload is quite high.
please suggest me some tips and tricks to enhance downloading speed?

my friend told me to do this through tracker updation bt did not goet it. so please help me soon...

There are various tools available which declares to boost the torrent speed, i would like to suggest the Azureus. rather i haven't tested this because i don't prefer to download from them. Often virus comes through them even wallpaper may consists of virus.

This guide should help you out to fine tune UTorrent. But it all depends on the health of the torrents you choose to download.

Instead of using public torrent join Private trackers like TorrentLeech for better speeds.

Ensure you share back. You download a file 100%, you upload the same file 150%.

In settings, change port # from 80 to something like 5566. ISPs monitor and throttle port 80.

Use DHT.

Not all files download equally. I have downloaded a 4+GB file in 15 minutes and another time it took days to get a 90 MB file.

I've downloaded everything from an .avi file to a zip file and everything in between and I have yet to get a virus or any malware.
Then, again, I use Linux!
