Diagnostic tools for Motherboard

Hello,

Do you know a diagnostic software who can tell you if there is a problem
with the board ?

Or do you know a method to test or to know if a motherboard is defective?

Where I work when I do a diagnostic for a PC with problems, before to
suspect if the board is defective :

- I checked if there is a overheat somewhere
- I check in the event viewer for error messages
- I scan for viruses and malwares ...
- I test the power supply
- I test the RAM
- I test the HD
- I boot with live cd (UBCD4Win, Knoppix, Ubuntu Live CD, Bart PE ...)
- I re-install Windows
- I the problem is still there I change the video card, I remove
everything except the cpu, RAM and PSU

I don't ask that for a specific case, I have to check 15 to 25 PC per
week, and the problems can be anything.

This is just one of many found by going to Google and typing in
"motherboard diagnostic tools". There are several pages; you'll have to
decide what is right for you.
