Articles to read:
Clip2002: Errors That Indicate the Mstore10.mgc File May Be Corrupted http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300863 You receive a "Clip organizer cannot complete operation the specified procedure could not be found error code 0x8007007f" error message when you try to insert Clip Art into an Office document or publication http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;884424 Have you looked into the possibility your video driver may be at fault? Try this, slide down the acceleration on your adapter, right-click the desktop, properties, settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab. If you do not see that control listed, click the arrow on the Show box at the top of the Manage Add-ons dialog box, and then select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer. Then select Microsoft Office Template and Media Control in the list of controls. 3.. Under Settings, click Enable. Re: Windows xp clip organizer freezes up application when a search
Performed the action you suggested and found that Office Template & Media
Control was not disabled. I went ahead & updated Active x controls. Detect & Repair appear to be working fine. The reference you gave me was for Office 2003. When rechecking Cip Organizer, after activating "search" 12 empty boxes came up, stayed for 15 seconds or so & then disappeared. Lower box continued to show "searching" All other functions became inoperative. Closed application. This was followed with request to send error report to Microsoft. Clip Organizer remains inoperative (Inial window appears, remains grey- ) Must restart windows before normal Cip Organizer window will activate. Still need help. "Mary Sauer" wrote: > a.. Re: Windows xp clip organizer freezes up application when a search
a.. If you are running Microsoft Windows® XP with Service Pack 2, it is possible to disable or enable ActiveX controls by using the Manage Add-ins command on the Tools menu in Internet Explorer. The Microsoft Office Template and Media Control may have been disabled. If so, you cannot automatically download clip art and media or templates on Office Online, or do practice sessions in online training courses on Office Online. To enable the control: 1.. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Manage Add-ons. 2.. Select Microsoft Office Template and Media Control in the list of controls. If you do not see that control listed, click the arrow on the Show box at the top of the Manage Add-ons dialog box, and then select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer. Then select Microsoft Office Template and Media Control in the list of controls. 3.. Under Settings, click Enable. You may see a message saying that you need to restart Internet Explorer for the change to take effect. Click OK, and then click OK again. Does the "detect and repair" turn off? You cannot turn off the Detect and Repair feature in Clip Organizer for Office 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;840645 -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "Hal Norman" <HalNorman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:57C5FA74-D8B3-40E3-B8AB-20F64B46185D@microsoft.com... > Hi: > Yes, I tryed detect & repair. > I downloaded the MDAC utility, ran it & results were MDAC 2,8 SP1 - all > componet files were 2004 version xp..... > I downloaded the Jet 4.0 and got "file you're trying to install is earlier > than installed version. > What might be next? > > "Mary Sauer" wrote: > >> Have you tried "detect and repair?" >> Maybe one the MDAC components are mismatched >> MDAC Utility: Component Checker >> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en >> >> How about the Jet 4.0? >> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/r...DisplayLang=en >> >> -- >> Mary Sauer MSFT MVP >> http://office.microsoft.com/ >> http://msauer.mvps.org/ >> news://msnews.microsoft.com >> "Hal Norman" <HalNorman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:44464B98-5D96-4EF5-A3B6-337FDFFB14A1@microsoft.com... >> >I checked the video settings & tryed several including full off.
