how to merge 2 photos side by side into 1 photo

want to be able to merge two photos side by side into 1 photo ... how is this
done?

Easily accomplished with the freeware IrfanView.

Download Irfanview
http://www.techspot.com/download299.html
(get the plug-ins too)
http://www.techspot.com/downloads/47...w-plugins.html

Once you have IrfanView downloaded and
installed...open the program and go to...

....Image / Create Panorama Image...

Make your selection and click the Create Image button.

When you see the combined images displayed
in the view screen...go to...File / Save As...

Choose a Save Location...

Choose A format...

Give the file a new name...

Click...Save...
