Unable to Open soem Tif Files

I am unable to open some tif files in MS Office Picture Manger, picture and
fax viewer, Document Imaging or any other image application. Other tif files
do open and this same tif file opens on another Windows XP computer. Both
computers are xp pro sp 2 with Office 2003 installed, why is this happening?
