%1 is not a valid Win 32 application. Error Code 0x800700C1
When I try to access clipart for a MS Word project, I get the subject
message. I have two computers, so perhaps I haven't tried to use clipart on this one before, but I thought I had. Never had this problem before. Please advise. |

When I run inetmgr.exe, it says can't be found. I tried it on my second
computer which runs Word Clip Art O.K., and got the same thing. When I do search for "inetmgr.exe" I get DOSNET, HIVESYS, and LAYOUT files. Have you run a virus/spyware check?

Virus/spyware has run. I also downloaded and ran SP2 and SP3 for Office 2003
(which was suggested on another site) and that hasn't helped. I believe I have used the clip art in the past with no problem. So not sure what to try next. Re: %1 is not a valid Win 32 application. Error Code 0x800700C1
There are Knowledge Base articles that have the error without the 0x800700C1
Event ID 7000 and "%1 Is Not a Valid Win32 Application" Error Message When You Start a Service You receive a "Not a Valid Win32 Application" error message when you start SharePoint Portal Server If you type "%1 is not a valid Win32 application" into Google, 214,000 hits are returned. One site advises re-installing Explorer, although it didn't say it helped. I assume you did all the usual things, emptied your temporary cache, looked at your firewall to be sure you have access to the Office site, accepted the ActiveX component, moved your temp folder. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP news://msnews.microsoft.com "illinik" <> wrote in message news:... > Virus/spyware has run. I am also getting a security warning message a lot: Current site:

Do this, put Microsoft Office into your trusted area.
In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options, Security tab, select *Trusted Sites*, click Sites button, Uncheck *Require server verification (https forall sites in this zone*, in the address bar type click add. Type click add. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP news://msnews.microsoft.com "illinik" <> wrote in message news:... >I am also getting a security warning message a lot: Current site: > Trusted site: > Does this have anything to do with my issue? > > "Mary Sauer" wrote: > >> There are Knowledge Base articles that have the error without the 0x800700C1 >> >> Event ID 7000 and "%1 Is Not a Valid Win32 Application" Error Message When >> You >> Start a Service >> >> You receive a "Not a Valid Win32 Application" error message when you start >> SharePoint Portal Server >> >> >> If you type "%1 is not a valid Win32 application" into Google, 214,000 hits >> are >> returned. >> >> One site advises re-installing Explorer, although it didn't say it helped. >> >> I assume you did all the usual things, emptied your temporary cache, looked >> at >> your firewall to be sure you have access to the Office site, accepted the >> ActiveX component, moved your temp folder. >> -- >> Mary Sauer MSFT MVP >> >> >> news://msnews.microsoft.com >> >> "illinik" <> wrote in message >> news:... >> > Virus/spyware has run. OK - Clipart is not working in any of my MS Office 2003 Small Business
Edition programs. Nothing I have tried is correcting this issue. What do I have to do to get up and running again? The Organizer has its own detect and repair in the Help drop down menu. Try it.
Also compact the Organizer. The compact is in the tools menu. Have you tried to re-install the Organizer? -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP news://msnews.microsoft.com "illinik" <illinik@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BDDE1A80-2855-418D-9EF6-3FBAAB84316B@microsoft.com... > OK - Clipart is not working in any of my MS Office 2003 Small Business > Edition programs.
