Updating RNDIS USB drivers on XP SP2

Hello,

Is there a way to update the RNDIS USB drivers (rndismpx & usb8023) on a
user XP SP2 system without installing ActiveSync? A separate installation
package or windows update ?

The device is implementing USB RNDIS mode based on MSDN documentation,
RNDIS USB Kit and using inf based on template inf
for driver
installation. The device doesn’t need or use ActiveSync but do need the
latest RNDIS USB drivers to avoid some issues seen with the old drivers.

Version of RNDIS USB drivers on XP SP2: 5.1.2600.2180
Version that comes with ActiveSync 4.5: 5.1.2600.2781

I did search the Microsoft support site but could not find anything.
Appreciate any suggestions that would help here. Thanks!
