Driver install using DIFxApp hangs on XP

Hi,

I'm having a problem installing a driver using the DIFxApp merge module.
The problem is that the MsiInstallDrivers custom action, which is added by
the merge module is haning on some XP systems. From my install log it looks
like a call to UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevices is the function that is
hanging.

This is the last message in my install log which is then hung:
DIFXAPP: INFO: ENTER UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevices...

The strange thing is this only happens on some XP systems - this one is XP
SP2 but it has installed fine on other XP SP2 machines. On all other systems
like W2K3 or Vista the install works fine.

Does anyone have experience with using the DIFxApp merge modules or this
UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevices function?
