Uninstall DIP 2006

I am trying to uninstall DIP Suite 2006, and then reinstall just the Image
Editor portion.

The Image Editor uninstalled fine but the Library part will not uninstall.
I keep getting an error message:
" Error 1316: A network error occurred while attempting to read
from the file:
C:|Windows\Installer|POD.MSI"

Any ideas?

Try doing a system restore to a time
before you installed DIS 2006. Try
reinstalling DIS 2006 and then uninstall
it at Add - Remove programs.

Maybe the following freebie will help
uninstall DIS 2006:

Revo Uninstaller

FWIW...the Editor and Library were
not designed to be installed separately.
If you do not wish to use the Library just
ignore it.

If you are simply trying to reset the library
database...delete or rename your
Pictures.pd3 file.

(WinXP)
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\
Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\
POD\Pictures.pd3

(Vista)
C:\Users\>username<\AppData\Local\
Microsoft\POD\Pictures.pd3

Pictures.pd3 contains your thumbs and
metadata.

If you continue to have issues...you
may want to contact MS Support:

Thanks John, your help is always appreciated.

The Library is behaving after I deleted the Pictures.pd3 file and the files
were rebuilt. I then reinstalled DIP 2006 and everything is working well.

I am waiting to hear back from the Microsoft Support Team as to why I could
not uninstall the program. I may need the information in the future.
