CRM4 on SQL 2008

It seems that CRM4 doesn't support SQL 2008 out of the box since it doesn't
find the service MSFTESQL, which has been deprecated on SQL 2008.

I did some digging and I read about some (possible) whitepaper from
Microsoft which explains how to install CRM4 on SQL 2008. I wonder if this
is really possible and if som, could someone please point me to the given
whitepaper?

Thanks a lot in advance

Regards,
P.

RE: CRM4 on SQL 2008

Hi Pedro,

Thanks for posting in. This is Ken in Online Partner Support.

For my understanding, we do not support the SQL Server 2008 as CRM's
database for now. Therefore I couldn't find out the whitepaper. Please
consider to use the SQL Server 2005 instead.

Kind Regards,
Ken
