I wish I understood how you did this! -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rob Giordano Microsoft MVP Expression "andrew" <matseevsky@rambler.ru> wrote in message news p.t8db0gpib7jv7v@localhost...| | Yeap, there is a way to paint an image using only pen tool. Course, I'm | not telling about idiotism like drawing set of parallel lines close each | to other. Look at attached images. They are result of raster-to-vector | conversion, but what is more interesting, they are painted without | vertices at all. It is More advanced gradient fills, just as I've promised | two days ago. Only set of contours. These contours are mostly open arcs, | so they do not enclose regions (at least, most of them). It means, that | such kind of images COULD BE created by a special pen tool. One must draw | set of lines with non-constant parameter along these lines. (gray-scale | images require one one parameter). It would be easy make with a planchete, | because it reacts on a pressure of a pen. Same result could be achieved by | a mouse wheel (but, in fact, a mouse isn't an appropriate instrument for | precise drawing). Probably, small demo prog will be ready after a while. | Andrew |

I wish I understood how you did this! I've been learning math for some time. This is a result of raster to vector conversion. This op isn't complete, because the source image cannot be reproduced in such a way- some additional info is a must. But, one the other hand, even this output looks rather attractive. This is a raster, but it could be converted to vector without much problems. Al nececcary info is placed onto contours. In short words, one need to have set of contours (Bezier curves, polylines) and some parameter (you may name it intensity), which changes along these contours. Savvy? To create such kind of graphic one may draw curves onto planchette. One may press pen to planchette with mutable (non-constant- I do not know an appropriate word) force and set in such way intensity along drawn curve. This is the most important- fast and convenient method to paint regions without brushes nor meshes nor vertices... Well, if it is interesting for you, I'll inform you, when a prog, using this method, is ready. (5-10-15 days perhaeps) Regards, A |
