Keep left column (div) full page length

I am creating a site with a header area plus 3 columns below and then a
footer. I am using DWTs, and the center and left columns will be editable
regions. Of course the length of the middle and right columns will vary from
page to page. Is there a way to force the left column, not in an editable
region, to fill the full height from the bottom of the header to the top of
the footer?

Since the left, middle and right columns are all in a container div, I
thought maybe
height:inherit;
would make it inherit the height of the container div, but it doesn't seem
to work.

Thanks in advance for help with this.

Re: Keep left column (div) full page length

Thanks Cheryl, I will play around with this tomorrow.

Interestingly, I had thought a while back about making the current page
button "disappear" since it is redundant. The moving of the current button to
the right side of the screen gives me a non-javascript and much simpler
method to do this by moving the button and then simply changing the text
color to match the background. Of course it would still be an active if
hidden link.

On the other hand, a couple of people told me they thought making the
current page button disappear was confusing, and I think moving the current
button to the right side of the page is even more so, but it is an
interesting technique.

thanks again,
Anne
