Master.dwt and layout table
Expression Web 2 on Vista, SP 1.
I created an HTML page with a layout table, then saved the page as Master.dwt. The layout table was a stock table selected from the layout table window\pane, and consist of a cell across the top of the page and a cell along the left side of the page. When I tried to edit the Master.dwt by entering text into either of the two layout cells I received line breaks, instead of paragraphs, after the Enter Key was pressed. If the cells for the Master.dwt were changed to editable then new paragraphs would appear, instead of line breaks, when the Enter Key was pressed. Since the cells really should not be editable, there must be a better way to do this. How does one get new paragraphs in noneditable layout cells in the Master.dwt after the Enter Key is pressed? Thanks for any information. -- Gary Larimer |

Re: Master.dwt and layout table
Not using layout tables I can't say for sure but the behavior you are
describing is one I see when text is added w/o a <p> in the html. Sino table cells will not have a <p> </p> entered by default checking split view if there is a <p>. If not select the text then from the toolbar right check on the paragraph element and select wrap. Then enter will give you a new paragraph. -- Cheryl D Wise MS MVP Expression Author: Foundations of Microsoft Expression Web See our selection of Expression Web tutorials at http://by-expression.com/content/tutorials.aspx "Gary Larimer" <GaryLarimer@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:AC4FCC6D-148F-469D-9AF1-AC5AE7D21C83@microsoft.com... > Expression Web 2 on Vista, SP 1. > > I created an HTML page with a layout table, then saved the page as > Master.dwt. Re: Master.dwt and layout table
Thanks Cheryl. That appears to be the solution. I also found that making
the layout cell editable then changing it back to noneditable also causes paragraphs to appear when the Enter Key is pressed. -- Gary Larimer "Cheryl D Wise" wrote: > Not using layout tables I can't say for sure but the behavior you are > describing is one I see when text is added w/o a <p> in the html.
