upgrade to EW2 from EW1
Does it make sense to upgrade to EW2 from EW1 if I do not need PHP?

RE: upgrade to EW2 from EW1
The areas listed in the "quick start" guide as new for EW2 are:
PHP support Silverlight, Flash, and Windows Media support (easier to add media files to your site) AJAX controls. Custom ASP.NET controls. I'll add that it now memorizes FTP logins/passwords for you, and displays CSS "overflow" property properly in Design View. I assume there are some other fixes and changes. It's up to you, of course, to decide if these changes are worth the upgrade price, for you. "Mark" wrote: > Does it make sense to upgrade to EW2 from EW1 if I do not need PHP? > Mark > > |

Re: upgrade to EW2 from EW1
My suggestion would be to download the trial and see if the changes are
enough to be worth the upgrade to you based on how you use Expression Web. You can run the v2 trial and Expression Web v1 side by side. -- Cheryl D Wise MS MVP Expression Author: Foundations of Microsoft Expression Web See our selection of Expression Web tutorials at http://by-expression.com/content/tutorials.aspx "KathyW" <KathyW@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FE8E51BC-0659-4E67-892B-74CE9132BD78@microsoft.com... > The areas listed in the "quick start" guide as new for EW2 are: > > PHP support > > Silverlight, Flash, and Windows Media support (easier to add media files > to > your site) > > AJAX controls. > > Custom ASP.NET controls. > > I'll add that it now memorizes FTP logins/passwords for you, and displays > CSS "overflow" property properly in Design View. > > I assume there are some other fixes and changes. > > It's up to you, of course, to decide if these changes are worth the > upgrade > price, for you. > > "Mark" wrote: > >> Does it make sense to upgrade to EW2 from EW1 if I do not need PHP? >> Mark >> >> |
