MS Off. Picture Manager as Default?
Due to some quick, slick, useful and convenient "functions" built into
Microsoft's Office Picture Manager I - prefer - to use her as my Image Editor/Viewer/Co-Ordinator when looking for and at images in EW 2. If I DO NOT choose PM as my default jpg jpeg gif png Editor - from within EW's "Tools" "Application Options" - then working with any website's folder images in PM - while EW is open - is guaranteed to make EW crash. Every time! ("Working with" can be as simple as browsing my shortcut folders in PM or renaming images - for SEO of course!) One of the more useful functions in PM is the "My Shortcuts Folder". This allows file/folder browsing over just your "Selected" or "Desired" folders - cool huh! So, if I place the "All my Websites" Folder into PM's "Shortcut Folders" then I will be able to browse through all images and folders in all my websites. This, is useful! In order to try to prevent EW crashing - when using PM to edit/view images - SteveE pointed out a grand idea for me - i.e. that I might like to set PM as the Default jpg jpeg gif png Editor from within EW. Now that I DO choose MS Office Picture Manager as my default jpg jpeg gif png Editor - in EW - then PM greys out any and all opportunities to "Browse Image Folders" and only allows 1 image to viewed at a time!!! I don't know if anyone else uses PM as a Picture Editor but if you do, do you get your Picture Shortcuts displayed when using it as EW's Default Picture Editor? So, after all that, my question is "How come EW takes out the Folder Browser function of PM when PM is used as EW's default jpg jpeg gif png editor? Does EW limit the "Folder Browsing Functions" of any Default image editor? Thanks. p.s. And, I have no idea - yet - if making PM the default EW image editor prevents crashing or not. I just needed to 'find' a file. How hard can that be!! -- _________________________________________ What could possibly go wrong?
