sound in expression

ok, I've given up trying to figure out how to put seperate media files in a
dwt so have taken the dwt master files off this website and have then simply
inserted the media file in the page properties box - the sound is still not
working..can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? and yes, I know music is
taboo for some..but my son wants it there :-)

thanks
Pam

RE: sound in expression

The sound is working in IE. It does not work in Firefox, etc..
This is because the <bgsound> element is not a standard HTML or XHTML
element. It is supported by Internet Explorer only.
(It would be the same in a DWT - that wasn't your problem.)

More information can be found at:

Re: sound in expression

Use a Flash or possibly a Silverlight app to stream your music and please
don't make it play on load. Too many people are in environments where sound
is simple not appropriate or acceptable (work in an open plan office,
sleeping child). While I tend to use the one from Coffee Cup Software there
are plenty of free ones around such as
http://www.premiumbeat.com/flash_res..._music_player/ and
http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/
