I hope MS is still working on a long-term solution to the D300 NEF import
problem. I'm aware of the registry hack
(http://blogs.msdn.com/xmediasupport) , but unfortunately it's reliant upon
the latest codec from Nikon which won't install on a 64 bit OS. Is a full
solution in the works?

hi Curt,

All I can tell you right now is that the dev team is aware and is
investigating the feasibility of putting out a fix in the current version
of Expression Media. I will mention the fact that the codec won't install
on 64 bit Windows, as an added point in favor of providing a fix in Windows.

BTW - I have to say I'm a bit disappointed at Nikon for not supporting 64bit
more. With growing image sizes and processing demands, I'd think anyone
developing image software would at least keep an eye on 64bit OS compliance.
