No NEF solution for 64 bit Vista
I hope MS is still working on a long-term solution to the D300 NEF import
problem. I'm aware of the registry hack (http://blogs.msdn.com/xmediasupport) , but unfortunately it's reliant upon the latest codec from Nikon which won't install on a 64 bit OS. Is a full solution in the works? -- CurtG Vista Home Premium 64/Core2Duo/4G RAM/RAID w lots of space |

RE: No NEF solution for 64 bit Vista
hi Curt,
All I can tell you right now is that the dev team is aware and is investigating the feasibility of putting out a fix in the current version of Expression Media. I will mention the fact that the codec won't install on 64 bit Windows, as an added point in favor of providing a fix in Windows. Thanks Anita.
BTW - I have to say I'm a bit disappointed at Nikon for not supporting 64bit more. With growing image sizes and processing demands, I'd think anyone developing image software would at least keep an eye on 64bit OS compliance. -- CurtG Vista Home Premium 64/Core2Duo/4G RAM/RAID w lots of space "Anita Oakley" wrote: > hi Curt, > > All I can tell you right now is that the dev team is aware and is > investigating the feasibility of putting out a fix in the current version > of Expression Media. Hi Curt - Maybe they are working on it? Don't know for sure, but we can
hope! Anita |
