Leda the swanlover

I have (with difficulties) installed Ex Studio. Web and Media seem to work
OK, but Design and Blend do not display as I believe they should.

I get no menus at all, just a black and grey background with anonymous black
and grey boxes. Design has what looks as though it should be a colour
management
window, but it has no words, only a few rectangles of primary colours.

What am I doing wrong here? I have all the dot.net stuff OK

My initial suggestion would be to run a windows update and take everything
that's available.
what OS are you running?
If the updates don't fix it, re-install the applications.
What you're describing isn't what it's supposed to look like at all.
