Microsoft Expression Web 2

Hi,
I have just downloaded Trial version of Web 2 . I do have VS 2008. Is
there any advantage of using Web 2.0 over VS2008?

Thank you

Not tried that with Expression Web yet. It does with Microsoft Blend & VS
2008. I am not sure but seems Microsoft Web has better CSS support.

Re: Microsoft Expression Web 2

Hi Nixs,

I find the opposite with css intelli-sense. VS2005 highlights errors that
EW2 ignores.

Though the big point with EW2 is that you can launch your web app in
whichever browsers you have installed on your machine.
I prefer EW2's html editor to that of VS.

Regards.

Re: Microsoft Expression Web 2

They are actually designed to work together. EW is better at interface
design than VS is but can't do the coding that VS does The new VS web editor
is actually a version of the EW web editor with some changes to make it work
with the VS environment. I do a lot of interface design first in EW and then
wire things up in VS and perform coding. The main problem you may run into
is that when you change a file in VS and that file is open in EW, EW won't
automatically pickup the changes, you have to refresh in order for it to
notice anything is different. Rather annoying, but workable.

Hope this helps,
