stumped

I have bought a new computer. The old one has Word and publisher which I
need for work and school. How do I change over without buying the disc
again? I'm a fraid to do computer to computer since the old one may have
something wrong with it. What's my next step? Old one is windows XP, new
one is Vista.

Find your old Office disks and install or your new one. Remove office from
your old one. lf your old computer has OEM Office it may be licensed just to
that computer in which case you are SOL but there is an inexpensive student
version you can purchase.
