Import items problem with EM2

When importing items from the camera with EM2 the thumbnails in the import
window are not shown. Instead place holders are shown. This is the case for
JPEGs and for NEFs. However the items can be imported and thumbnails are
rendered correctly in the thumbnail window. This problem does not exist with
EM1. I am on a PC running OP Vista. Any idea how this can be corrected?
