File Name Corruption
I recently tried to make an HTML gallery (which I have done many times) and
all of the file names were truncated and changed on the jpeg's. I have looked and I don't see anything that is obviously different in my settings. Any ideas? Thanks, John |

RE: File Name Corruption
Are you on EM1 or EM2? I'm afraid that you might be affected by the QuickTime 7.4.x compatibility issue (and this issue occurs only on Windows platform). Catalogs affected by this issue can be repaired using one of several different methods which are discussed below and then you can try making the HTML gallery using the new catalog. Annotations which were made in the existing catalog are imported into the resulting catalog with these methods. Note: For the recovery methods to be successful, the original items need to be available. If the original items are unavailable, duplicate entries will still be present in the Catalog Folders section of the Organize Panel. Method 1 - Export/Import XML 1) Open the catalog affected by the issue 2) Click File > Export to XML 3) Click Export and save the XML file somewhere easy to locate 4) Click File > Import from XML 5) Select the XML file created in step 3 and click Open 6) Save the resulting catalog with a new name Method 2 - Import from Catalog File 1) Create a new catalog in Expression Media 2) Click File > Import Items > From Catalog File 3) Select the catalog affected by the issue and click Open 4) Save the resulting catalog with a new name Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions. RE: File Name Corruption
Thanks for the info. The last time I was affected by the 7.4 issue I managed to rebuild everything and all of the imports have been normal. The only exception is this recent problem building an HTML folder for the web. I'll go back and see what I need to change. I am waiting for EM 2 to be delivered and I'll just wait for it at the end of this week rather than spend a lot of time trying to solve it. Thanks, John "Sekar Raju" wrote: > > Are you on EM1 or EM2?
