clearing search box

hello
Hello

not strictly frontpage related but would be most grateful for help on the
following:

when i type words into a search box in my browser it remembers words i have
typed in from various sites previously visited. How do i clear these words
from
memory so they don't appear?

many thanks

daniel

Daniel -

Select the item from the drop down menu (of previous search keywords),
single click only so that it is highlighted, then hit the delete key.
