accessing 'misconfig' command under 'run' in 'start' menu

i use XP OS. i want to view all programs that instal themselves automatically
on system start up, so that i can remove those not needed. understand this
can be done under'run' in start menu by using 'misconfig' command. but i am
unable to access this command under 'run'. request help.

I can't figure out why you posted this in the Word.DocManagement newsgroup,
but I guess "clueless" is a big category...

Your problem is that you're not spelling the command properly. Leave out the
"i" after the "m". It should be

msconfig
