The MSO 2003 SP3 does not install on Vista Ultimate. I have read log files
but I am puzzled with few errors mainly in the second log file.

Can someone help me with these errors ? What should I do ?

I have extracted some line from the following 2 log files stored in

Hi GuaCarl,

Could you search the OHotfix(00001)_Msi.log file for "value 3" (without
quotes) and past everything from about 10 lines above and below the first
"value 3" that you find?

That should tell us what is going on.

The problem seems to be related to the rollback feature. It looks like
their is something missing: in the MS installer or in the SP3 files ? I
have tried to do a MO Setup repair but after the SP3 update still gives me
back the same results.

The problem is here....

Your Office install thinks that the MSOcache is located on the L:\. When it
tries to access the L:\ drive it is failing to find the msocahce there.

I'm going to guess that you don't have an L:\

Here is how to fix this..

Download the listool here...
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Run it... choose "move LIS" and move it to a local drive. Then if you dont
physically have it on that local drive.... run listool again and choose
enable lis.. it will ask for the office source... point to it... it will then
recreate the lis on your local drive. You should be able ot install after
that.

I may have reshuffled my external drives and confused the MSO registry
entries.

Can you help with a similar but different issue?

I am running Office 2007, but MS Update identified and updated my system with:

Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3): owc11sp3

I am having trouble with MS Access and MS Accounting (among other programs)
with the error message

MS x has stopped working

Excel, Word, and Outlook are fine, knock on wood.

I upgraded MSO 2003 to 2007 via Microsoft Service Pack subscription.

Weeks later, I upgraded from XP to Vista Business 32-bit.

Does my system still think I am running MSO 2003?

I am a one-man accounting services consultant in desperation!
