windows are opening 3/4 of the size

Hello,
I am running windows 2003
For some reason when I create a new email in outlook or open a old flie
(xls, pdf, doc) the window is at 3/4 of the screen size when in maximum. It
does not let me move the window and I cannot get it to open in full screen
size.
I have searched the threads but cannot find a solution - or what i did to
affect this window format.

Much Thanks,
M

It saves the last "Windowed" size, not whether or not it was "Full
screen" or not. Drag the window edges to close to full screen( don't
click "Maximize") and close the window, now that will be the size it
opens next time.

Re: windows are opening 3/4 of the size

Is it "windowed" or "full screen"? In the upper right between the
"underscore" and the "x" is there "two blocks"(indicates currently
fullscreen) or a "single box"(indicates windowed mode) You may only
"drag" in windowed mode. On the other hand if you mean the entire
desktop does not fill the screen, THEN that is due to your operating
sysem display settings and the monitor configuration. Please determine
which is the problem.

Re: windows are opening 3/4 of the size

Hi Bob,
Somehow I fixed it.
I just kept clicking on the blue bar above the window and eventually the
window opened up full screen size.
Not sure what the issue was - but its fixed.
THanks for your help
