How to stop activation wizard starting every time program opened
I had preinstalled Office 2007 Professional but only needed the Basic
programs. I purchased an Office 2007 Basic license and activated the product. Problem is that I still have Access, Powerpoint and Publisher installed but not activated. Now evertime I open Outlook, Excel or Word, the ActivationWizard pops up and I have to clear two screens to get rid of it. This is extremely annoying. I purchased what I need Microsoft - so quit bugging me. How do I turn this annoying nag screen off for ever. Advertisement |

Re: How to stop activation wizard starting every time program opened
The license keys are matched to specific to the Office packages. If your Office 2007 Professional Edition is a non-trial edition,
then you can use that license to activate the product and choose which apps to have installed via the control panel Add/Remove Programs. If MS Office Basic edition (OEM only) is all you need then after backing up, obtain a MS Office Basic product CD, uninstall the Office 2007 Professional Edition, restart the PC and install the MS Office Basic edition. Note, that OEM editions can only be activated on one computer and not transferred to another computer. Retail editions of MS Office can be installed on two computers (one should be a 'portable') and can be moved to another computer later. ============== <<"VW" <VW@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8BB3A454-23ED-46BA-8F05-4B21104A86FC@microsoft.com...
