Re: Has Image Writer been removed from Office 2007?
The Microsoft Office Document Imaging feature is included in Office
2007, but it is an optionally installed feature. You can add the feature to your existing installation from your Office 2007 CD as follows (assuming you have Windows XP, but the steps should be similar in Windows Vista): 1. Close all running applications. If you have any Office application running, the MODI feature will not be installed properly. 2. Click on Start | Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs. 3. Click on "Microsoft Office 2007" and then click on "Change". 4. Check "Add or Remove Features" and click "Next". 5. On the bottom of the page check "Choose advanced customization of applications." and click "Next". 6. Under Microsoft Office click on the + sign in front of "Office Tools" to expand the category. 7. Click on the little black downward-pointing triangle to the left of "Microsoft Office Document Imaging" and select "Run All from My Computer". 8. Click on "Update" to install the MODI feature. Re: Has Image Writer been removed from Office 2007?
I installed image writer and now it is in my printer list but in 2003 I could
open TIFF and MDI files with image writer, now in 2007 there is no image writer program to open them with even thoough it exists as a printer -- JY "garfield-n-odie [MVP]" wrote: > The Microsoft Office Document Imaging feature is included in Office > 2007, but it is an optionally installed feature. Re: Has Image Writer been removed from Office 2007?
Hi Jeff,
The MS Office Document Image Writer is part of MS Office Document Imaging, the program that opens the MDI files. You may want to recheck the Office 2007 options that are installed if it's not listed in Start=>Programs=>Microsoft Office=>Microsoft Office Tools =========== <<"jeffmyoung" <jeffmyoung@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BAC3C435-9982-4A30-ADA4-6618C966C579@microsoft.com...
