re-image office 2007 and activation
I want to re-image my device, but I'm going to lose Office 2007. What number
do I need to call to get my license back? Has anyone devised a trick to grab something out of the registry so I don't need to call MS ? |

It is either on the CD case or in the email from MSFT you rceived if you purchased a trial edition.

Re: re-image office 2007 and activation
I have a 10 user license with my Action Pack. If I re-image the machine and
put Office back on the computer, will I get one of my licenses taken from me? I have only used 3 of them so far, I have no way of knowing if a 4th will be taken. I was hoping there would be a number to call, or I could re-apply a registry string. The same machine with the same hardware will use the same license and not a new one.

Re: re-image office 2007 and activation
If you have an Action Pack subscription, they don't take licenses from you.
It's just that you may run out of activations. That's no big deal. If you have run out ouf activations on your Action Pack subscription, automatic activation does not work, but you can still activate through telephone support. Explain that you have had to reinstall or that you bought new hardware, and they'll happily give you an activation code. As long as you don't install more than 10 concurrent copies of client software or 1 concurrent copy of the server software, you're safe. Re: re-image office 2007 and activation
A MAPS license is not tied to specific hardware - you only run out of
automatic activations. "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" <MillyS@donteventhinkaboutmailingmeatmvps.org> wrote in message news:eAeKNROpHHA.2044@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl...
