Times New Roman Bold?

I have two sections in my document with Heading 1 styles. When I update the
table of comments, in the table of contents Section I is bold and Section II
is not. In the body of the document both sections are bold. I compared the
sections using the "compare to another selection". The difference is that
the font name on one is "Times New Roman Bold" and the other is "Times New
Roman". Both have font styles "bold". When I go into change the name of the
font from "Times New Roman Bold" to "Times New Roman" I don't see a selection
for "Times New Roman Bold" in the drop down box.

I would try using the paintbrush on the font you like better then 'paint'
with your cursor over the font you want to change.

Suzanne S. Barnhill

Select both headings and press Ctrl+Q and Ctrl+Spacebar. Then update the TOC
(F9).

Reminds me of the time I told a WordPerfect consultant I used Word because I
regularly needed a formatting (dot leadering, I think) that Word made easy
but I couldn't find at all in WP.

She replied something like "Oh that's easy. Press Shift-Alt-F5 twice."

Well, sure, when you put it THAT way.... <g>

I'll never forget the time I was called into the office on a Saturday to
help finalize a multimillion dollar contract to presented that evening. When
I got there I discovered it was prepared using the Wang - not the Mac. (When
I asked about this oversight I was told, isn't a computer a computer?) I
never used a Wang before and hobbled along until it came to pagination - I
couldn't figure out how to create a manual page break. (For some reason
pressing Enter a zillion times wasn't working.) We ended up cutting (with
scissors) and pasting (taping) the pages together (even the page numbers), a
lot of white out, and the copy machine. The next Monday the secretary who
used the Wang found out about what we did and looked like I was a moron and
asked, "Why didn't you just use the Mark button and a capital T? That would
have been easier."

LOL yeah, had I known that...
