Form fields
I have hundreds of forms that have similar text groupings on them, and the similar text changes every few years, and in some cases sooner. Rather than update each of the hundreds of forms every time a change happens, is there a way to set them up as if in InDesign, where an image would link to a central image file? This way if that central image file is updated, all versions relink automatically to that new image file, rather than editing the hundreds of individual files to update to the new image.
For example, the function might be considered a sophisticated Find and Replace, where a certain form field, let's call it "Name 1," is occupied currently by "Joe Smith" on about 100 forms. Suddenly Joe Smith leaves, and is replaced by "John Doe". I want to be able to update one central file or spreadsheet, and have it automatically apply to all existing forms. Or to do so when the form is next opened. I want to apply this to all written web addresses, physical addresses, names, ranks, titles, etc.; all of which change. All text based applications, mainly. If it's possible to do this in Microsoft word with images as well, that would be very helpful as well, but the primary concern is text. Please advise, thanks! ~Chris |
