Text Effects
rUsing Outlook 2003
Why is it that when I highlight a word and go to Fomat > Fonts > Text Effects, I am able to apply an effect to the text, but when I send the e-mail, the effect doesn't show? Is there an option I have to enable in order for the text effect to apply to the e-mail? Thanks, Karen |

RE: Text Effects
do you mean the person who gets the email cannot see the effect? What is
their mail client? RE: Text Effects
I sent it to myself and a person at work and both of us have Word as our
e-mail editor and the text effect still doesn't show. Thanks, Karen "dlw" wrote: > do you mean the person who gets the email cannot see the effect? Re: Text Effects
You need to set "Microsoft Office Word to read Rich Text e-mail messages"
In Outlook, click Tools > Options > Mail Format tab > check the check box that says "Use Microsoft Office Word to read Rich Text e-mail messages". To see the text effect, you have to open the email in its own windows (i.e. double click the email in your inbox). The text effect will not appear in the email preview panel. If the recipient of the email doesn't have this option check as well, then they won't see the text effect, or if their email client application doesn't support rich-text. Thanks, Garry |
